With over 20 years of experience in childcare, we provide a safe, joyful, and engaging environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Our K.I.M® Academic Program is designed to meet EYFS standards, blending physical activity with hands-on learning to foster intellectual, social, and cognitive development. Located at the Grange Community Centre in East Finchley, our nursery offers over 30 places, all eligible for funding where applicable. From locomotion to stabilisation and manipulation skills, we focus on building the foundations for lifelong learning. And with freshly prepared, nutritious meals included in our fees, we ensure your child’s health and happiness are always prioritised.
Our unique approach to early education
At Kids in Motion, we believe that children learn best through movement, exploration, and play. Our curriculum incorporates fundamental movement skills such as walking, running, balancing, and throwing, helping children develop agility, coordination, and confidence. These skills are seamlessly integrated into our daily activities, ensuring that learning is both fun and effective. Beyond physical literacy, we also focus on nurturing creativity and imagination through self-directed play and enrichment programmes. Our experienced team, led by founder Lara, who holds a Master’s in Sports Science and a CACHE Level 3 Diploma, ensures that every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive. With a commitment to excellence and a passion for early education, we’re here to help your child grow and succeed.
Healthy eating for healthy minds
Nutrition plays a vital role in a child’s development, which is why we’ve implemented a comprehensive healthy eating policy at Kids in Motion. Our nursery is both nut-free and sugar-free, ensuring a safe environment for all children. Meals are freshly prepared in our on-site kitchen and include breakfast, snacks, lunch, tea, and even a little something for the journey home. Each weekly menu is designed by a nutritionist to provide balanced, wholesome meals that encourage children to discover new cuisines and develop healthy eating habits. We also organise mini cooking classes to engage children with the food they consume, making mealtime an educational experience. For babies on breast milk or formula, we welcome parents to provide labelled bottles, which we’ll serve according to your instructions. Dietary needs, including allergies and religious preferences, are always catered for.
